Hello all and welcome to my blog! My name is Zane Williams and I will be living in Japan in the (province?) of Aichi for 6 months with a host family selected through the program YFU (YouthForUnderstanding) for the remainder of my junior year of highschool. My host family consists of a mother (Yumi) a father (Tadatoshi) and their son Ryoji who is the same age as me. I have Skyped Ryoji a couple times and have began to learn more about him and his family. Overall they seem very nice and supportive. Although I am very excited to be living in such a different and interesting place, I am not very good at Japanese (yet). Luckily Ryoji speaks pretty good English and can usually understand what I am trying to say. I hope that the longer I'm there, the better my language skills will get! I will try to update this blog with all my current adventures so stay tuned!
